Role Summary:
This role is responsible for the monthly consolidation and financial reporting of the AHSEA Group, supporting budgeting and forecasting activities, and collaborating with regional teams to ensure accurate, timely, and insightful financial analysis. The role also contributes to continuous improvement initiatives, audit preparation, and special finance projects.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Reporting & Consolidation
• Prepare monthly AHSEA group consolidation, including Profit & Loss, Balance Sheet, and Cash Flow statements, by entity and reconciled to AGH (as prepared by the Accounting Manager).
• Maintain consolidated schedules for P&L, Balance Sheet, and Cash Flow.
• Prepare quarterly disclosure templates for Business Units (BUs) for group Balance Sheet Notes in line with Annual Financial Statement (AFS) requirements.
• Perform quarterly deferred tax computations and effective tax reconciliations for AHSEA entities.
• Review and analyze deferred tax reconciliations and effective tax rates across the group.
• Conduct simulations and design reports when there are changes in group structure to improve reporting efficiency.
• Perform financial analysis covering P&L, Balance Sheet, and pricing to support strategic decision-making.
• Deliver accurate, high-quality financial reports and variance analysis versus budget and forecast.
• Prepare the monthly RHQ Finance, IT, and Legal Management Meeting (MOM) presentation deck.
• Compile the monthly operational summary for regional CEOs.
• Compute monthly Break-Even Point (BEP) and financial ratios for the Group.
• Assist in preparing group Balance Sheet and P&L notes for audit and statutory reporting.
2. Budgeting, Forecasting & MTP (Mid-Term Planning)
• Develop budget and forecast templates for the AHSEA Group.
• Consolidate budget and forecast submissions from AHSEA entities for AGH submission.
• Coordinate capital expenditure (CapEx) submissions for group-level reporting.
• Calculate KPIs and financial ratios across the AHSEA Group.
3. Projects, System Support & Process Improvement
• Support finance-led projects to ensure timely implementation and alignment with group objectives.
• Streamline finance-related Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and policies across the group.
• Participate in SAP system initiatives and act as the custodian for the Group's Chart of Accounts, including mapping to AFS and Asahi reporting standards.
• Contribute to special projects related to ERP implementation, consolidation, and audit requirements.
• Perform other duties as assigned, based on business needs.
Performance Measures:
• Timely completion and submission of monthly consolidated P&L, Balance Sheet, and Cash Flow as per agreed deadlines.
• Timely delivery of RHQ P&L and monthly MOM deck for circulation.
• Adherence to all reporting deadlines set by management and AGH.
• Effective coordination and timely execution of finance-led projects.
• Accuracy and quality of financial analysis, reports, and submissions.
Requirements:
Education & Certification
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• Professional accounting qualification (ACCA, CPA, CIMA, or equivalent) is preferred.
Experience
• Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in financial reporting and consolidation.
• Prior experience in a regional or group-level reporting role is an advantage.
• Audit firm background in Big 4/ middle sized firm is a plus.
Technical Skills
• Strong understanding of financial statements, tax computations, and consolidation principles.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and financial modelling.
• Experience with ERP systems (e.g., SAP) and reporting tools.
• Familiarity with IFRS and local accounting standards.
