Job Description

Responsibilities

· Lead and manage all technical aspects of construction projects from planning to completion

· Review and approve technical drawings, specifications and construction methodologies

· Ensure compliance with building codes, safety regulations and industry standards

· Provide technical guidance and support to project managers, engineers and site teams

· Coordinate with architects, consultants, contractors and suppliers to resolve technical issues

· Conduct site inspections to monitor progress, quality and adherence to design specifications

· Implement best practices in construction technology, materials and sustainability

· Prepare monthly Job Method Statements (JMS) and Work Inspection Reports (WIR) to support interim progress claims (IPC) until project completion

· Plan and monitor project execution according to the Work Programme (WP) and Gantt chart timeline to ensure timely delivery

· Manage multiple large-scale projects simultaneously, ensuring resources are allocated effectively and deadlines are met

· Prepare technical reports, risk assessments and recommendations for management

· Drive continuous improvement in construction process and technical standards

Requirements

· Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management or related field

· Minimum 8-10 years of experience in construction project management, with at least 3 years in a technical leadership role

· Strong knowledge of construction methods, materials and building systems

· Proven experience in managing large-scale commercial, residential or infrastructure projects

· Familiarity with project management software (e.g. MS Project, Primavera, AutoCAD, BIM tools)

· Excellent problem-solving, analytical and decision-making skills

· Strong communication and leadership abilities to manage cross-functional teams

· Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines

· Professional certifications (e.g. PMP, Chartered Engineer) are an advantage
