Consulting Partner - Energy (Oil & Gas, Digital, IT & AI Transformation)
Role Purpose
We are seeking a
Consulting Partner to lead the Energy (Oil & Gas) practice in Malaysia, with responsibility for driving
growth, sales, consulting delivery, and capability development across strategic client accounts.
This role requires a senior leader who can
advise energy clients on digital, IT, and AI-enabled transformation, while building long-term relationships with executive stakeholders and developing a sustainable consulting practice.
The Partner will be accountable for
business development, client impact, practice leadership, and revenue growth, while delivering high-value consulting engagements across the energy value chain.
Key Responsibilities
1. Consulting Delivery & Client Impact
- Lead complex consulting engagements across Oil & Gas and Energy clients, delivering measurable business value through digital, IT, and AI-enabled transformation initiatives.
- Advise executive stakeholders on technology strategy, digital transformation, data platforms, AI adoption, and operational optimization.
- Ensure successful delivery of consulting programs including technology modernization, enterprise platforms, data analytics, AI solutions, and intelligent automation.
- Maintain strong client satisfaction through high-quality consulting delivery and executive-level engagement.
- Act as a trusted advisor to CXO-level stakeholders across energy organizations.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to deliver integrated solutions combining strategy, technology, data, and operations transformation.
2. Business Development & Revenue Growth
- Own and drive practice-level revenue targets and sales pipeline across the energy sector.
- Identify and develop new consulting opportunities related to:
- Digital transformation in energy
- AI and advanced analytics
- Intelligent operations
- IT modernization and enterprise architecture
- Cloud and data platform transformation
- Lead major consulting pursuits, proposals, and commercial negotiations.
- Build long-term strategic relationships with senior client executives and decision makers.
- Expand consulting footprint across existing accounts while acquiring new strategic clients in the energy sector.
- Collaborate with delivery and sales teams to convert consulting opportunities into large-scale transformation engagements.
3. Industry Leadership & Thought Leadership
- Serve as a recognized industry leader in digital transformation within the Oil & Gas sector.
- Develop and promote thought leadership on topics including:
- AI in energy operations
- Digital oilfield transformation
- Data-driven asset management
- Intelligent supply chains in energy
- Energy transition and digital enablement
- Represent the firm at industry conferences, client events, and executive forums.
- Contribute insights, white papers, and industry perspectives that strengthen the firm's reputation in the energy sector.
4. Practice & Capability Development
- Build and grow a high-performing consulting team focused on energy digital transformation.
- Develop new service offerings in areas such as:
- AI-driven operational intelligence
- Data platforms and analytics
- Cloud-enabled energy systems
- Enterprise IT transformation
- Mentor and develop consulting talent while strengthening domain expertise in energy technology.
- Establish partnerships with technology providers, ecosystem partners, and industry bodies.
- Ensure the practice maintains strong capabilities aligned with evolving industry needs.
Key Requirements
- Significant leadership experience within consulting or professional services, serving Energy / Oil & Gas clients.
- Proven track record of selling and delivering large consulting engagements.
- Strong expertise in digital transformation, IT strategy, AI, or data-driven transformation within the energy sector.
- Deep network with senior executives in Oil & Gas companies.
- Demonstrated ability to build and scale a consulting practice.
- Experience leading multi-million-dollar consulting engagements and strategic client relationships.
- Strong commercial acumen with experience managing sales pipeline, revenue targets, and client growth strategies.
