This role reports directly to the Content Strategist Lead. The ideal candidate enjoys writing long-form website content, understands that content performance is tied to revenue outcomes, and is open to learning SEO, AEO, and data-driven optimisation. You will work closely with internal teams and external freelancers to produce, optimise, and scale high-quality content that supports traffic growth, conversion, and commercial impact.
Role Overview
This is not a purely branding or creative writing role. Content is expected to drive measurable outcomes such as qualified traffic, engagement, and revenue. Training will be provided, but candidates must be comfortable working with performance goals and understanding how content supports business results.
Job Scope
- 50% create new long-form articles and optimise existing website content
- 30% review, revise, and coordinate freelancer-produced articles
- 10% review content performance using Google Search Console and GA4
- 10% support video content creation
Job Responsibilities
Content Creation and Optimisation
- Write and edit long-form website articles such as guides, evergreen pages, and commercial-focused content
- Update and optimise existing articles based on SEO, AEO, and performance insights
- Ensure content structure, readability, and search intent alignment meet user and business needs
Performance and Revenue Awareness
- Learn how content supports conversion and revenue, not only traffic or visibility
- Apply feedback to improve internal linking, CTAs, and content structure
- Support optimisation efforts aimed at improving engagement and conversion over time
Freelancer Collaboration
- Communicate with freelance writers and contributors on briefs and revisions
- Review freelancer articles for quality, clarity, and basic SEO alignment
- Provide clear revision feedback under guidance from the Content Strategist Lead
- Help ensure content guidelines and timelines are followed
AI Assisted Workflow
- Use AI tools such as ChatGPT, Jasper AI, and similar platforms to support daily content work
- Apply AI responsibly to improve speed and efficiency while maintaining quality
- Learn best practices for AI-assisted content production
SEO, AEO, and Tools
- Apply basic SEO practices, including keywords, metadata, alt text, and internal links
- Support keyword research and content planning using tools such as Ahrefs and Semrush
- Learn AEO concepts and how content adapts to changing search behaviour
- Stay curious about content marketing trends, with structured training provided
Data and Performance Review
- Review basic content performance metrics in Google Search Console and GA4
- Identify simple optimisation opportunities with guidance
- Learn to use data to support content decisions and prioritisation
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in any related field
- 1 to 3 years of experience in content marketing or a similar role
- Strong writing skills with clear, natural English
- Familiarity with AI tools such as ChatGPT, Jasper AI, or similar
- Basic skills in visual or video editing tools such as Canva, CapCut, or Adobe tools
- Comfortable following structured guidelines and receiving feedback
- Willingness to learn SEO, AEO, and performance-driven content strategies
- Able to work with freelancers and internal stakeholders
- Resume and portfolio with writing or multimedia samples required

- Exposure to SEO or digital marketing
