Summary:
To take on the post contract management activities and to work in parallel with and support the Contract Manager in managing and/ or administering for the assigned Contract(s) to ensure works performed by the Contractor(s) are all in accordance with the Contract and Company requirements.
Job Responsibilities:
- To take on all post contract management activities as follows and responsible to the contract holder/ Project Manager and the Sr Contract Manager.
- To functionally report to the SCM & Contract Dept Manager and also to follow up instructions given by Dept Manager from time to time.
- Ensure corporate guarantee, performance bond, necessary insurances are submitted timely, maintained and updated by contractor as required under the Contract.
- Prepare the Register Log for all letter correspondence on a weekly basis.
- To draft letters to be issued to contract as instructed by Contract Holder/ Project Manager;
- To follow up with PMT for technical inputs for letters to be issued to contractors/ 3rd parties.
- To make sure all letters are responded to in a timely manner.
- Review contractor's change management plans.
- Prepare and issue change notices or company instruction (CI).
- Coordinate with cost control in joint review/ evaluation and approval of contractor's variation order proposal (VOP).
- Prepare, finalize and issue variation orders or amendments.
- Prepare the Register Log for CI, VOP, and VO status on a weekly basis.
- Review contractor/consultant's contractual claim submissions and provide timely feedback.
- Coordinate with the User (and Legal Departments, if necessary) to address and provide suggested solution to any disputes from contractors regarding the Contract/PO/SO.
- Work with the User Department to apply or impose sanctions, penalties, liquidated damages, or rewards in accordance with the contract/PO/SO.
- Prepare and finalize contract close-out documentation and perform contract close-out in coordination with the respective functions i.e. User & Finance Dept.
- Report on contractor/consultant project performance upon contract completion and to prepare Contract Close Out.
- Maintain confidentiality throughout the process.
- Secure internal approvals as per the Procurement Manual for the variation orders and amendments processes.
- Any other activities that the Sr Contract Manager/ Dept Manager may assigned from time to time.
Job Requirement:
- Bachelor's degree (S1) of Quantity Surveying/Engineering/Laws from a recognized university;
- Proficient in English [both oral and written skills].
- Minimum 8 years working experiences in Oil & Gas industry EPCIC projects for similar role.
- Good interpersonal and communication skills.
- Good leadership, planning, and strategic thinking.
- Possess negotiation skills, good problem solving and decision-making skills which require independent and original thinking.
- Willing to travel to the field and other areas.
