Contract, Estimating and Proposal Engineer (Shah Alam/Kulim/Penang)

Job Description

• Review tender documents, drawings, RFQs/RFPs, and specifications to understand project scope, requirements, risks, and timelines;
• Assist in preparing tender submissions, including BOQs, cost estimates, pricing summaries, and techno-commercial proposals;
• Conduct quantity take-offs and basic cost analysis from drawings and project data;
• Source, evaluate, and compare quotations from suppliers and subcontractors;
• Maintain tender tracking logs, cost databases, and vendor records;
• Compile and prepare technical and commercial documents for submission in line with company and industry standards;
• Assist in preparing progress claims, variation orders (VO), final accounts, and cost reports;
• Verify subcontractor claims, quotations, and payment applications;
• Track project costs and budgets against actual expenditures;
• Support contract administration, including documentation, correspondence, claims, and EOT justifications;
• Maintain proper records of all contractual documents, VO logs, site measurements, and approvals;
• Coordinate with project, procurement, and finance teams on cost and contract-related matters;
• Ensure compliance with corporate policies, legal requirements, and contractual obligations;
• Perform any other duties as assigned by Management from time to time.

Requirement

• Possess at least a Degree in Mechanical Engineering, or Degree in Quantity Surveyor with M&E experience;
• Good command of English, Mandarin and Bahasa Malaysia;
• Able to travel when necessary;
• Experience with Glodon software will be an added advantage;
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
