1. Contract Administration & Management
- To work with and directly under the Package Project Manager
- Ensure full compliance with company contracting policies, legal requirements, and project specific obligations.
- To manage project correspondences, prepare and update correspondences log periodically.
- Establish, manage, and maintain a Contract Change Register to track variations, claims, and amendments.
- To work with PMT for the evaluation/ assessment of the VOP; preparation and presentation of the internal memorandum for Management's consideration and approval of the VO.
- Oversee the preparation and negotiation of final accounts, performance guarantees, and insurance requirements with contractors and vendors.
2. Claims & Dispute Resolution
- Lead the evaluation, preparation, negotiation, and settlement of contractual claims with EPCIC contractors, and other contractors.
- Collaborate with Legal and Project Teams to manage dispute resolution processes, including mediation, arbitration, or litigation when required.
- Proactively identify potential contractual risks and drive early resolution strategies to protect company interests.
3. Stakeholder & Cross-Functional Coordination
- Provide contractual inputs to Project Controls for budget forecasting, cost reporting, and schedule risk assessments.
4. Risk & Governance Management
- Participate in internal and external Risk Workshops to identify, evaluate, and mitigate contractual and commercial risks.
- Ensure proper flow-down of contract obligations to subcontractors, vendors, and partners.
- Implement robust Anti-Bribery & Corruption (ABC) and Counterparty Due Diligence processes aligned with company policy and lenders compliance requirements.
5. Team Leadership & Development
- Provide coaching and contract management training for project personnel to enhance organizational capability.
- Drive knowledge-sharing and lessons-learned programs across multiple projects.
Requirement
- Bachelor's degree in Law, Engineering, Business, or related fields. Professional certifications in Contract Management, Arbitration, or Construction Law (e.g., MRICS, FIDIC, CIArb) are highly desirable.
- Proficient in English [both spoken and written skills].
- Proficient in Mandarin [spoken and/or written skills].
- Minimum 15 years of progressive experience in contract management within the oil & gas, LNG, or energy sector (preferably working on Client's side).
- Proven experience in managing at least two full cycles of EPCIC contracts.
- Good interpersonal and communication skills.
- Good leadership, planning, and strategic thinking.
- Possess negotiation skills, good problem solving and decision-making skills which require independent and original thinking.
- Willing to travel to the field and other areas.
- To take on additional ad hoc tasks/ instructions from the Department Head/ Sr Contract Manager from time to time
