Job Description

PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES

  • To carry out planned and unplanned maintenance related to control and instrumentation in safely manner and in compliance with SAP, Air Products engineering and safety standard.
  • Perform and document maintenance, calibration, installation, fault diagnosis, and repair of, mechanical and pneumatic instruments and systems
  • Calibrate, troubleshoot, and repair plant instrumentation i.e., transmitters, analyzers, control
  • valves, switches, relays, etc.
  • To carry out regular inspection on plant C & I equipment and assess their reliability and escalate up if any abnormalities.
  • Work and service with a wide variety of instruments including pH, conductivity, ultrasonic, guided wave radar, mass flow, pressure transducers, RTDs, Control Valve, Transmitter, Vibration, etc.
  • To ensure that proper safety practices and measures are adhered to.
  • Maintain files, logs and drawings for all designated instrumentation and control equipment
  • Work closely with functional engineer to initiate and implement continuous improvement ideas to improve plant reliability and reduce maintenance cost
  • To ensure that there are adequate stock and valid expiry of span gases, proper control and recording of stock should be exercised.
  • To ensure analyzers are check, validate, calibrate in accordance to planned frequency and exercise adequate cares to maintain its accuracy, reliability, and functionality. The analyzers are to be spanned monthly and whenever required so that its accuracy can be maintained and thus its reliability. Monthly checks to be conducted on the span gases pressures so that continuous supply of gases are maintained and random checks to be done on stock for verification
  • To follow all the ISO 9001 procedures and documentation
  • Perform all duties in manner consistent with environmental, health and safety policies
  • Maintain instrumentation spare parts inventory to maintain plant reliability
  • To ensure that proper care and maintenance of C&I tools are carried out.
  • To support eMOC issuance, FMEA analysis, Risk Analysis, RCM work, Operator Basis Care, Autonomous maintenance activities, continuous improvement project and etc.
  • Facilitate audits processes to assess the compliances of AP On site operations activities against to AP's standard or relevant applicable standards (i.e., ISO standards, AP Corporate EHS audits, customer audits).
  • To support all the plant call out during non-working hours
  • Complete other tasks as delegated by superior

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS AND QUALIFICATIONS

  • Diploma/Degree in Electronic/Control/Instrumentation Engineering
  • Minimum 5+ years experience in related working field or Process Plant Environment.
  • Able to use common instrumentation tools
  • Able read and understand the controls drawing
  • Experience in PLC or DCS system
