Responsibilities

  • Develop customized automation equipment including system design, electrical drawings, programming, and commissioning.
  • Support manufacturing process scale-up activities and production ramp.
  • Support and maintain existing industrial automation equipment.
  • Develop, troubleshoot and implement automation software for production equipment.
  • Initiate continuous improvement plans for existing equipment
  • Setup and use equipment performance data to drive improvement projects.
  • Support escalation activities and troubleshoot production equipment
  • Develop data collection structures and process controls.
  • Effectively communicate and publish learning, experimental results, etc

Qualifications

  • 3-5 years of work experience, and BS in engineering
  • Experience supporting automated manufacturing equipment and complex automation projects
  • Hands-on experience with PLC's, MES integration, HMI's, SCADA, and pneumatic and servo-motion systems
  • Expertise in Mitsubishi , Siemens PLC programming
  • Expertise in Proface, Siemens HMI development.
  • Expertise in Servo motion control including Mitsubishi and Yamaha
  • Knowledge of programming in Python.
  • Knowledge of programming in Vision is an added advantage
  • SCARA robot troubleshooting/maintenance
  • Familiarity with factory data collection and management systems
  • Ability to work on multiple projects
  • Desire to work in a dynamic, highly creative environment
  • Excellent communication and documentation skills
  • Excellent troubleshooting skills
