Role Description
This is a full-time on-site role for a Conveyancing Clerk located in Kuala Lumpur. The primary responsibilities include preparing legal documentation for property transactions, handling conveyancing processes from start to completion, maintaining accurate and organized records, liaising with clients, financial institutions, and relevant authorities, and ensuring compliance with legal regulations and deadlines. Administrative tasks related to legal documentation and support to the legal team are also expected.
- To assist lawyers in preparing and handling all conveyancing-related documents
- To prepare and attend to legal documents for conveyancing sub-sale and loan documentation
- To assist lawyers in preparing loan and Sale & Purchase Agreement (SPA) documents, including relevant forms and correspondence relating to loans and/or SPA matters
- To handle matters relating to sub-sales, loan documentation, and perfection of transfer/charge
- To follow up with banks, developers, government bodies, and other relevant parties
- To ensure all assigned tasks and files are completed within the stipulated timeline to avoid late penalties
- To liaise with and maintain good working relationships with clients, bank officers, and property agents
- To monitor loan and SPA files from the initial stage through to completion
- To assist with correspondence and communication with clients, banks, and/or relevant authorities
- To perform general administrative duties and any other ad hoc tasks as instructed
Qualifications
- Proficiency in conveyancing processes, legal documentation preparation, and property transaction handling
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills to maintain accurate and timely records
- Effective communication skills for liaising with clients, financial institutions, and government authorities
- Good knowledge of legal compliance, regulatory requirements, and administrative procedures
- Problem-solving abilities and capacity to manage multiple cases effectively under time constraints
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and legal administration tools
- Prior experience in a legal or conveyancing role is a strong advantage
- Diploma or relevant qualifications in law or administrative studies preferred
Requirements
- Minimum 2 to 3 years of working experience in conveyancing matters
- Familiar with property and loan/financing documentation from major banks
- Familiar with the latest procedures and systems of the Land Office, LHDN, SSM, Online Appointment (OA), and other relevant authorities
- Familiar with banking; online documentation systems and procedures
- Able to work independently with minimal supervision
- Possess good interpersonal skills with a positive working attitude
- Good communication skills and a strong team player
