We are seeking a driven and experienced Corporate Development Manager to join our team in Kuala Lumpur and work directly with an experienced Founder & CEO. This hands-on role is ideal for someone eager to thrive in an entrepreneurial environment, contribute to the rapidly growing digital asset market, and make a significant impact. You use data and analysis to make decisions and recommendations, are a self-starter and have credibility with senior leaders and peers. You will have the opportunity to directly influence business growth and become a leader in a fast-evolving asset class.
The Role:
Your responsibilities will include:
1. Corporate Finance Initiatives:
- Identify and engage potential investors to support the company's growth objectives.
- Develop compelling investment materials and presentations.
- Manage relationships with existing and prospective investors.
2. Partnerships and Corporate Development:
- Source and evaluate strategic partnership opportunities to enhance business expansion.
- Negotiate and structure partnership agreements that align with company goals.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement partnership initiatives.
3. Mergers and Acquisitions (M&A):
- Identify and assess potential M&A targets that complement the company's strategic direction.
- Conduct financial analyses, valuations, and due diligence.
- Coordinate with legal and financial advisors to execute transactions.
4. Special Projects:
- Lead cross-functional projects that are critical to the company's growth and not part of regular operations.
- Provide strategic insights and recommendations to senior management.
- Ensure timely and effective execution of special initiatives.
Qualifications and Experience
To be a successful applicant, you are likely to meet the following criteria:
Experience:
- 5 to 7 years in investment banking, management consulting, or corporate development roles, preferably within top-tier global firms.
Education:
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business Administration, Economics, or a related field. An MBA or relevant professional certification is advantageous.
Skills:
- Exceptional analytical and financial modeling capabilities.
- Excellent negotiation and deal-structuring skills.
- Proven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and familiarity with financial analysis tools.
