The primary responsibility of this role is to support the Chief Strategy Officer(CSO) with respect to the Corporate's strategic plan. The successful candidate will work alongside other C-Suite members, including reporting to its parent company in Japan.
This role is responsible to:
- Support corporate planning activities, strategic planning processes, performance reporting and ad-hoc projects undertaken by the department.
- Prepares the supporting documentation for any corporate changes globally in the company, its subsidiaries, and affiliates, such as liquidations and mergers, new investment or divestiture.
- Prepare responses in Japanese to requests for information from the parent company in Japan.
- Assist the CSO in monitoring the execution of the strategic plan through communication with Corporate management, Division management as well as the Parent Company in Japan.
- Analyze the performance of the company's capital projects globally.
- Assist in the preparation of the company's budget and corporate presentations.
- Prepare Senior Management Meeting minutes and presentations.
Required skills/Qualifications:
- Possesses at least 8 years of food and agricultural industry experience in a Japanese MNC.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills in business Japanese (JLPT N1 certification or native Japanese speaker) to communicate with Japan HQ and auditors.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English is required to communicate with company operations.
- Business-level proficiency in Korean would be a plus.
- Minimum level of education needed is a Bachelor's degree.
- Extremely strong analytical skills, intuitive, optimistic, and able to lead and motivate people.
- Possess ability to manage multiple projects/tasks of varying complexities through effective time management.
- Ability to work with a variety of different businesses and local cultures will be integral to succeed in this role.
- Proven ability to cope with stressful deadlines, understand new issues quickly and make wise decisions.
- Proven ability to work cross-functionally with various department heads across different entities and countries.
