Job Description

Job Purpose

The Corporate Planning Manager plays a key role in driving the organisation's strategic planning, business performance analysis, and corporate development initiatives. This role partners closely with senior management to support long-term growth, improve operational efficiency, and ensure alignment across all business units.

Key Responsibilities

Strategic Planning & Corporate Development

  • Lead the annual strategic planning process, including long-term goals and group-level priorities
  • Conduct market, industry, and competitor analysis to identify growth opportunities and risks
  • Drive corporate development initiatives such as mergers, acquisitions, partnerships, and divestments
  • Prepare feasibility studies, business cases, and investment evaluations
  • Support business integration and consolidation initiatives across the group

Business Performance & Analytics

  • Establish performance analytics frameworks, KPIs, dashboards, and scorecards
  • Analyse financial, operational, and business performance data to provide actionable insights
  • Develop forecasting and predictive models to support strategic decision-making
  • Identify performance gaps and recommend improvement initiatives

Budgeting, Forecasting & Financial Modelling

  • Oversee group-level budgeting, forecasting, and resource planning processes
  • Ensure financial plans are aligned with strategic objectives
  • Perform scenario analysis, sensitivity analysis, and financial modelling

Strategic Projects & Transformation

  • Drive cross-functional strategic and transformation projects
  • Support post-merger integration and organisational restructuring initiatives
  • Lead process improvement and cost optimisation programmes

Executive Reporting & Stakeholder Management

  • Prepare clear, concise, and visually compelling reports for senior management
  • Act as a trusted strategic advisor to leadership
  • Collaborate effectively with Finance, Operations, Sales, and other key stakeholders

Leadership & Capability Building

  • Build and develop a high-performing corporate planning and analytics team
  • Lead change management initiatives and promote a data-driven culture
  • Champion digital transformation and process modernisation

Requirements

  • Degree in Business Administration, Economics, Finance, Statistics, Data Science, or related fields
  • Minimum 10 years of experience in corporate planning, business strategy, or business analysis
  • Strong analytical, financial modelling, and strategic thinking skills
  • Experience in M&A, corporate development, or post-merger integration is highly preferred
  • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills

Key Deliverables

  • Strategic plans and performance analysis reports supporting long-term growth
  • Accurate budgets, forecasts, feasibility studies, and market insights
  • Clear, timely, and actionable advisory inputs to senior management
