We are looking for a Costing Executive to support Group costing activities across multiple plants and entities by ensuring accurate, standardized, and timely costing analysis. The role works closely with Group Finance, Group Operations, plant teams, and project teams to provide management with clear visibility on cost performance, profitability, variances, and improvement opportunities.
This position also supports costing governance, budgeting and forecasting review, manufacturing cost analysis, project costing, and costing-related reporting for management decision-making.
Roles and Responsibilities:
- Coordinate and review annual budgets and forecasts from plants and subsidiaries, and highlight major cost drivers, variances, risks, and opportunities at Group level.
- Prepare monthly analysis of actual manufacturing cost against budget or forecast, and identify key performance gaps across plants.
- Work with Group Operations and plant teams to monitor material usage, production yield, wastage trends, conversion cost, and other manufacturing cost drivers.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives and cost-reduction programs by providing relevant costing analysis and financial insights.
- Ensure costing methodology, data requirements, assumptions, and reporting practices are applied consistently across regions.
- Assist in intercompany costing, transfer pricing support, and intercompany profit analysis where required.
- Consolidate project budgets and actual spending across regions, prepare project tracking updates, and support project teams with financial analysis.
- Prepare ad hoc financial modelling, scenario analysis, product costing simulations, and decision papers for management review.
- Support Group audits, internal control reviews, costing-related SOP improvements, and standardization of costing processes.
- Prepare costing reports, dashboards, variance analysis, and related documentation accurately and on time.
Job Requirements:
- Diploma, Bachelor's Degree, Professional Degree in Accounting, Finance, or relevant professional qualification such as ACCA, CPA, CIMA, MIA, or equivalent.
- Minimum 3 years of working experience in costing, finance, accounting, manufacturing analysis, or related field.
- Experience in food manufacturing, manufacturing costing, production costing, or multi-plant reporting would be an added advantage.
- Experience with SAP, ERP systems, budgeting, forecasting, and cost analysis is preferred.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret financial and operational data, identify variances, and highlight improvement areas.
- Good attention to detail, accuracy, documentation, and reporting discipline.
