About The Role
- Finmo is building the treasury and payments layer that finance teams actually want to use. Our buyers are business owners, CFOs, treasurers, and finance leaders in mid-market companies across the globe in FIs and corporations.
- We are seeking two experienced, hands-on, energetic and initiative-driven Creative & Multimedia Designers to join us. This role is ideal for a designer who is independent and strong in transforming ideas into compelling visuals, bringing original, creative, impactful concepts to life across static, motion and interactive formats.
- You will conceptualize and execute visuals across B2B campaigns for our payments and treasury products, targeting business owners and finance leaders across our global markets, including Hong Kong and China-related payment corridors. The ideal candidate understands how to design for diverse audience segments, creating appeal across different cultures, verticals and buyer needs. You should have a strong ability to convey stories through visuals and thrive in a fast-paced, multi-product, deadline-driven environment.
What Success Looks Like
- This is a craft role and we will measure it on craft. Not assets shipped, not deliverables closed.
- Concepts that feel original, on-brand, and land the message with impact.
- Work that creates genuine connection with the segment it was made for.
- Deliverables the requestor can actually use, not deliverables marked complete.
- The heart to make every design and every video a statement rather than an output.
- Versatile style: from quirky, serious, minimalist to bombastic. Ability to play with text, music, sound, visuals for seamless integrated productions.
- Seasoned across tools and disciplines — mixing illustration, animation, motion, 3D and AI within a single piece.
- Impeccable timing and visual styling, from soundtrack to UI sounds to the small nuances that bring the swagger, the beat, the flow and the focus.
- Viewers who flow with the story and connect with it — a smile, a nod, a rewatch.
- Grounded B2B understanding: concepts that resonate with business owners and finance leaders.
- AI-generated work that looks realistic, never cheesy.
Key Responsibilities
Concept and storytelling
- Turn marketing briefs and campaign themes into original concepts, bringing options and ideas the brief did not ask for.
- Bring fresh visual storylines and concepts continuously, rather than reworking the same formats.
- Research the topic, the audience and the competitive visual landscape before you start to create assets for multi-channel campaigns across distinct buyer segments, verticals and markets.
- Propose visual storytelling enhancements and creative improvements to elevate campaign outcomes.
- Collaborate with the marketing, product marketing, product, IT teams on audience personas and adapt design style accordingly, translating technical detail into visual logic.
Design and motion
- Design and execute across a wide range of formats, from flat to 3D.
- Produce static, motion, and animated graphics including illustration, cartoons, vector art, and infographics.
- Apply these across all touchpoints: social, display, print, events, EDMs, landing pages, and marketing collateral, as well as content formats like interviews, podcasts, and vox pops.
- All pieces have to be brought together seamlessly ensuring nuances, highlights, primaries are all working hand in hand for compelling pieces for every deliverable
- Ensure all deliverables align with brand guidelines and meet campaign timelines.
AI production
- Fluency with AI creative tools is core to this role, not a bonus. Speed at our size depends on it.
- Generate realistic AI video and imagery to a standard that holds up on a brand channel — never uncanny, never cheesy.
- Produce AI voiceover that sounds human, with correct pacing, tone and pronunciation of finance and product terms.
- Composite AI generation with realistic footage, motion and design so the seams do not show.
- Move quickly between AI tools as the landscape shifts, and evaluate new ones on your own initiative.
- Handle licensing, consent and usage rights properly for AI voice and generated imagery.
Video
- Produce short-form video for product demos, feature highlights, segment stories, interviews and podcast content, for LinkedIn, YouTube, Facebook, Instagram, website, presentations.
- Produce long-form video for branding, events, product walk-arounds and interviews.
- Apply cinematic effects, transitions, pacing and sound design.
- Cut and adapt for platform: aspect ratios, captioned versions and channel-specific edits.
Requirements
- Minimum 5 years of experience in creative or multimedia design.
- Proficient in Adobe Suite - Illustrator, Photoshop, After Effects.
- Skilled across both static, animation, and motion design projects.
- Fluent with AI creative tools such as Midjourney, Runway, Sora, ElevenLabs or current equivalents.
- Strong visual storytelling and conceptual design skills, with attention to typography, layout and branding.
- Experience designing for distinct personas, verticals and cultural markets.
- Imaginative with creative ideas that are viable, purposeful and non-cliché, balancing originality with executional realism.
- Grounded B2B understanding, with the ability to make complex and unglamorous subject matter compelling.
- Able to hit the ground running, work independently, and take full ownership of creative output.
- Fast worker with strong initiative and a can-do attitude.
- B2B, SaaS, fintech, payments or startup experience is a strong advantage.
- Bilingual proficiency in English (reading, writing, speaking) and Chinese is a bonus
This role is probably not for you if
- You need a fully specified brief before you can start.
- You prefer long polish cycles to fast, good-enough shipping.
- You see AI tools as a threat rather than leverage.
- You specialise narrowly and would rather not work across static, motion, video and 3D.
