We are an organic tea brand that crossed US$13M+ in revenue in 6 months. We're on track for US$38M+ in our first full year. We need one creative strategist to help us scale Meta spend from US$19M to US$38M+ over the next 12 months.

You'll work directly with me. 5 years in e-commerce, US$100M+ in Meta spend across bootstrapped brands, built and exited a brand for 7 figures (USD) in under 18 months. I'm in the weeds on this business every day. You get founder access, real ownership over creative, and feedback from someone who has actually deployed nine figures (USD) of ad budget.
Your job is strategy. Editors handle production. You decide what we make, why we make it, and how it should land. Then you brief it cleanly so editors can execute. You'll be the storyteller behind a brand currently scaling spend past US$19M/year on Meta alone. Every ad we ship is your concept. Every winner compounds.
This is a low-base, uncapped-upside role. We pay people based on the wins they create.
Why this seat is different
Most creative strategist jobs cap your pay, hide the data, and kill your best ideas in committee.
The pattern is the same whether you're early in your career or five years into an agency: your reps don't compound when nobody trusts you to ship. The real money is locked behind layers of approval.
This seat is the opposite. Founder access. Direct line to data. You ship what you write. The wins compound. The pay scales with them.
What you can earn
First 90 days: Guaranteed higher base salary regardless of performance. We invest in your ramp so you can focus on learning the brand and shipping your first wins. Finish the ramp faster and you move to uncapped earnings earlier. Your speed sets the timeline.
After 90 days:
- Lower base, uncapped tiered % of monthly Meta ad spend kicks in
- At our current trajectory, top performers in this seat track to USD$130K–300K+ in year-one total comp
- No cap. If you 2x our ROAS, you 2x your earnings with it.
If you want a comfortable salary that pays the same whether you ship 5 concepts or 50, stop reading. If you want your earnings tied directly to the wins you create, keep going.
What you'll do
Drive growth on our Meta ad account by generating high-converting concepts, scripting them, briefing them to editors, and using data to compound winners.
- Competitor & market research: Live in the Meta Ad Library and TikTok. Break down what's working in our category and adjacent ones. Understand why.
- Concept development: Generate ad angles, hooks, and storylines grounded in real consumer insight. You start from a hypothesis.
- Scripting: Write tight, high-converting scripts and storyboards. Every word earns its place.
- Briefing editors: Translate your concept into a brief so clear the editor can execute it without guessing. This is where strategy becomes execution. Most strategists fail here.
- Data-driven iteration: Analyze CTR, hook rate, hold rate, ROAS. Kill what's not working. Double down on what is.
- Concept v2.0s: Take winners and develop variants with new hooks, angles, and CTAs.
- Pipeline ownership: Run the creative pipeline end-to-end in Airtable.
We'll train you on the data and Meta side. Taste is on you.
Who you are
The non-negotiables:
- Output-focused. Driven by the volume and quality of concepts you ship into production.
- Taste. Strong, defensible opinions on what's good and bad. You can name 3 brands whose ads you'd steal from and 3 you think are wasting money. And explain why.
- Pattern recognition. You can study 50 winning ads and tell us what they have in common. You see the structural threads beneath the surface. This is how we find what's coming next.
- Detail-obsessed. You notice the small things that move conversion. Hook timing. Caption clarity. The wrong font in a thumbnail. The difference between a winning ad and an almost-winner is usually detail.
- Bet-maker. You'd rather ship 10 weird angles where 1 is a unicorn than 10 safe ones that all do okay. You understand performance creative is asymmetric. The wins pay for everything else.
- Not attached. When the data says your favorite concept isn't working, you cut it without arguing.
- Sharp writer. You can write a hook that stops the scroll and a script that converts. Words are your weapon.
- Crisp briefer. You can hand an editor a brief and trust the output. If the ad doesn't come back the way you envisioned, your brief failed.
- High-volume builder. You'd rather ship a v1 brief today than a perfect one next week.
- Self-starter. Take a goal and run with it. We won't micromanage you.
The skills:
- Strong understanding of Meta/TikTok ad platforms and what makes short-form video convert
- Comfort writing scripts, briefs, and creative documents
- Familiarity with Airtable (or willingness to learn fast)
- Understanding of how LLMs work
Experience: E-commerce experience is a plus. If you don't have it, you need to be obsessed with it. Actively studying DTC brands, dissecting their funnels, watching their ads, knowing why their hooks work. If you've never thought about how brands sell, this isn't your role.

- Final 1-on-1 with me. We will go into detail on the paid task
