We are looking for a proactive and detail-oriented Credit Control Executive to join our Finance team. This role is critical in managing customer receivables, minimizing credit risk, and supporting the company's cash flow objectives.
Key Responsibilities
- Monitor and manage customer accounts to ensure timely collection of outstanding receivables.
- Follow up on overdue accounts through calls, emails, and customer visits where necessary.
- Review customer creditworthiness and assist in credit limit assessments.
- Perform account reconciliations and resolve billing disputes promptly.
- Prepare aging reports, collection forecasts, and credit risk analysis for management review.
- Work closely with Sales, Operations, and Finance teams to resolve collection issues and improve payment turnaround.
- Escalate problematic accounts and support debt recovery actions when required.
- Ensure compliance with company credit policies and internal controls.
- Maintain accurate customer records and collection documentation.
Requirements
- Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related discipline.
- Minimum 3 years of experience in Credit Control, Accounts Receivable, Collections, Billing & Collection, or related finance functions.
- Experience as a Credit Control Executive, Credit Controller, Accounts Receivable Executive, Collection Executive, Finance Executive (AR), or Accounts Executive with substantial debtor management responsibilities is preferred.
- Experience in construction, steel, engineering, industrial products, equipment rental, infrastructure, foundation works, or B2B trading industries will be an added advantage.
- Strong knowledge of credit control processes, account reconciliation, collection management, and credit risk assessment.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills.
- Independent, results-driven, and able to work in a fast-paced environment.
