Description
- Monitor and manage customer accounts to ensure timely payment and adherence to credit terms.
- Review and assess credit applications to determine creditworthiness.
- Maintain accurate records of customer transactions, payments, and outstanding balances.
- Communicate effectively with customers to resolve payment disputes and address queries.
- Prepare and present regular reports on credit and collections activities to management.
- Collaborate with internal teams to improve credit control processes and minimise risks.
- Ensure compliance with company policies and industry regulations in all credit-related activities.
- Support the Accounting & Finance department with other related tasks as required.
Profile
A Successful Credit Controller Should Have
- A degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- Strong knowledge of credit control procedures within the Retail industry.
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills to manage customer relationships.
- Proficiency in using accounting software and Microsoft Office applications.
- Attention to detail and the ability to analyse financial data effectively.
- Problem-solving skills to address and resolve payment issues efficiently.
