To conduct thorough analysis of credit proposals and assessment of data provided by Lending Unit to evaluate the degree of risk of existing or prospective clients including annual review.
Responsible and accountable for the credit recommendation to enable decision makers to formulate well informed decision.
To manage and provide oversight the assigned Commercial Banking Portfolio with respective Lending Units by providing independent assessment and value added input on overall credit risk appetite.
To maintain consistent high quality standard of evaluation and provide measure to optimize Maybank's exposure vis-à-vis borrower's credit profiles as well as preserve the bank's asset quality.
Continuously learning and provide support to Risk Academy and Group Human Capital in developing a pool of highly capable and technical competent Originator and Evaluator that will be able to perform their functions effectively.
To undertake ad-hoc assignment or project initiative assigned by Head of Credit and continue support to team members.
Job Requirements:
Preferably tertiary education in business related field or any professional qualification
CCP/PCC qualification or related credit qualification e.g. CSA by Omega would be an added advantage
Working experience in processing and/or evaluating Corporate or Commercial loan applications and loan origination experience in Corporate or Commercial loans
Proven ability to undertake financial and cash flow analysis as well as possess good credit skills in the identification of risks in respect of borrowers, loan structures, sectors and industries
Proactive person with common sense and demonstration of value-added credit judgement from previous work experience.
Active team player and possess a strong sense of responsibility and commitment.
