Provide guidance to Private Bankers on credit products and credit structuring, in order to offer suitable financing/products to the clients.
Prepare and review credit memos for private banking credit facilities, including performing credit analysis for inclusion in the credit memos and identifying pertinent credit issues.
Manage own credit portfolio to minimise credit losses.
Oversee the credit approval process to ensure timely receipt of decisions.
Assist in the review of credit related frameworks and policies, where required.
Work with Private Bankers to promptly escalate cases with significant deterioration in credit risk or asset quality to the relevant approving authorities and place obligors into Watchlist.
Ensure all credit solutions are in compliance with the department's and Group's policies and procedures.
Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements (e.g. BNM & MAS) and minimise adverse findings by the auditors.
Perform/participate in ad hoc credit related exercises (e.g. stress testing).
Key Requirements
Minimum 5 years experience in corporate / investment banking or other related fields.
Possess strong accounting / financial analytical and credit evaluation skills, has financial modeling skills, good business writing & presentation skills and good understanding of the corporate banking & Wholesale Banking products.
