Role Profile: Critical Infrastructure / Network Facilities Engineer
Core Responsibilities:
- Strong project management capabilities with technical
- Power & UPS Management: Monitor, maintain, and troubleshoot Uninterruptible Power Supply (UPS) systems, battery banks (VRLA/Lithium-ion), and automatic transfer switches.
- Electrical Distribution: Manage facility power distribution units (PDUs), backup generators, and electrical switchgear to guarantee continuous power and prevent overloads.
- Network Infrastructure: Install, patch, and maintain server/network racks, structured cabling, patch panels, and related hardware.
- System Monitoring: Utilize DCIM (Data Center Infrastructure Management) and BMS (Building Management Systems) to track power consumption, thermal efficiency, and hardware health in real-time.
- Incident Response: Troubleshoot power anomalies (sags, spikes, harmonics) and physical-layer network outages, executing rapid disaster recovery during grid failures.
- Vendor Coordination: Collaborate with external electrical contractors, telecom providers, and facilities management for system upgrades and routine maintenance.
Key Requirements:
- Technical Skills: Deep understanding of double-conversion UPS topologies, electrical load balancing, and high-availability network architectures.
- Certifications: Certifications like CDCP (Certified Data Center Professional), BICSI cabling credentials, or electrical/network engineering diplomas.
- Experience: Hands-on experience with critical power infrastructure, HVAC thermal management, and network troubleshooting in a server room or data center environment.
