Senior Associate / Manager / AVP
Role Overview
Based in Malaysia, this role focuses on cross-border M&A coverage in Southeast Asia, with a strong emphasis on deal origination, execution and client advisory.
Key Responsibilities
- Work closely with the Chairman and Director on origination efforts and relationship management.
- Lead buy-side and sell-side transaction execution across the full deal cycle.
- Manage and coordinate due diligence processes, external advisors and transaction workstreams.
- Build and review financial models and valuation analyses.
- Oversee preparation of pitch books, teasers, CIM/IM and strategic proposals.
- Guide and review work prepared by junior team members.
- Manage communications with clients, investors and partners.
Requirements
- Open to Malaysians only.
- Bachelor's or master's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business or equivalent.
- Minimum 2–5 years of relevant experience in cross-border M&A transactions.
- Audit and/or investment banking background is encouraged.
- Strong hands-on execution experience in M&A transactions.
- Professional qualifications (e.g. CFA/CPA) are an advantage.
- Strong leadership, analytical, problem-solving and project management skills.
