Customer Service Executive

SUMMARY

We are looking for a dynamic Sales Engineer to drive business growth by combining technical expertise with a consultative sales approach. The role involves identifying new opportunities, managing client relationships, and promoting innovative solutions across residential, commercial, and hospitality sectors. The ideal candidate is passionate about technology-driven products and can effectively communicate technical concepts to architects, contractors, developers, and end-users.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  1. Technical Consultation: Conduct in-depth product presentations and technical demonstrations to architects, interior designers, contractors, property developers, and end-customers. Provide expert guidance on product selection, specifications, and installation requirements.
  2. Client Relationship Management: Build and maintain long-term relationships with key accounts, ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction, repeat business, and referrals.
  3. Tender & Proposal Management: Prepare and submit detailed technical proposals, BOQ (Bill of Quantities), and commercial quotations. Respond to RFQs and RFPs in a timely and professional manner.
  4. Market Intelligence: Monitor competitor activities, market trends, and emerging technologies in the smart sanitary and bathroom solutions space. Provide timely feedback to the product and marketing teams.
  5. After-Sales Support: Coordinate with the technical support team to resolve post-sales issues, ensuring smooth installation, commissioning, and warranty claims management.
  6. Collaboration & Reporting: Work closely with the marketing, logistics, and product teams to align sales strategies. Maintain accurate records of sales activities, pipeline status, and forecasts using the company's CRM system.
  7. Product Training: Stay current with Rigel Technology's full product range, including IoT-enabled smart sanitary systems, sensor-activated fixtures, and water-saving technologies. Participate in internal and external product training sessions.
  8. Sales & Business Development: Identify, prospect, and develop new business opportunities across B2B and B2C channels. Achieve and exceed assigned monthly and annual sales targets.

Requirements

  1. Demonstrable track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets.
  2. Strong technical aptitude with the ability to understand and communicate complex product specifications clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences.
  3. Proficiency in preparing technical proposals, quotations, and BOQ documentation.
  4. Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English and Bahasa Malaysia (Mandarin is an added advantage).
  5. Valid driving license and willingness to travel extensively within assigned territory.
  6. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) experience with CRM software is an advantage.

Preferred Skills

Candidates who possess any of the following will have a distinct advantage:

  1. Smart Home & IoT Knowledge: Familiarity with IoT-enabled devices, smart home ecosystems, and app-integrated sanitary products (e.g., sensor taps, smart toilets, digital shower systems).
  2. Industry Network: Established relationships with architects, ID firms, M&E consultants, main contractors, and property developers in the local market.
  3. AutoCAD / BIM Literacy: Basic ability to interpret architectural drawings, plumbing layouts, or BIM models to support technical product specifications.
  4. Negotiation & Closing Skills: Demonstrated ability to handle objections, negotiate pricing, and close complex multi-stakeholder deals.
  5. Digital Marketing Awareness: Understanding of how digital tools, social media, and e-commerce channels complement a B2B sales strategy.
  6. Project Management: Ability to manage multiple active projects simultaneously, tracking timelines, deliverables, and customer expectations with minimal supervision.
  7. Self-Motivation & Resilience: A hunter mentality with high energy, persistence, and a positive attitude toward challenges in a competitive market environment.
