Hiring for Senior Executive for Customs Ops APAC!

A global MNC company that specializes in Chemical Manufacturing is currently looking for a Senior Executive for Customs Ops APAC.

Job Purpose
The Customs Operations APAC Senior Executive will support customs operations, trade compliance activities, reporting, documentation, and process improvement initiatives across the Asia Pacific region. This role works closely with internal stakeholders, service providers, and country teams to ensure customs-related activities are completed accurately, efficiently, and in line with applicable regulations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support day-to-day customs operations, including import and export documentation review, data validation, and record management.
  • Assist with customs-related service requests, duty reviews, HS code maintenance, and other trade compliance support activities.
  • Work closely with internal teams, country stakeholders, and external service providers to ensure smooth customs operations and timely issue resolution.
  • Monitor customs operational performance and support the preparation of monthly reports, KPI updates, dashboards, and analysis.
  • Maintain shared folders, service mailboxes, documentation repositories, and related records in line with retention and compliance requirements.
  • Support the preparation and maintenance of standard operating procedures, work instructions, and process documentation.
  • Assist in customs compliance activities such as assessments, internal reviews, health checks, audits, and documentation follow-ups.
  • Stay updated on relevant customs regulations, trade requirements, and process changes, and support implementation of necessary actions.
  • Support process improvement, digitalization, automation, system enhancement, and testing activities related to customs operations.
  • Respond to ad-hoc requests, urgent customs issues, shipment delays, missing documentation, classification mismatches, or other operational matters as required.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business, International Trade, or a related field.
  • Minimum 3-5 years of relevant experience in customs operations, foreign trade, trade compliance, logistics, or supply chain operations.
  • Good understanding of import/export processes, customs documentation, HS code classification, duty rates, and basic customs regulations.
  • Experience working with SAP, SAP GTS, S/4HANA, or similar trade/customs systems would be an advantage.
  • Strong analytical, coordination, documentation, and problem-solving skills.
  • Good proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel, PowerPoint, and reporting tools.
  • Able to work with multiple stakeholders across countries and manage operational requests within agreed timelines.
  • Detail-oriented, proactive, and comfortable working in a regional support environment.
