Job Description

Role Overview

The Cybersecurity Integration role supports and leads cybersecurity activities within large-scale integration and transformation programmes, including mergers, acquisitions, and operational integrations within fuel retail and critical infrastructure environments.

Depending on level and experience, the role may involve supporting assessments and coordination activities, managing cybersecurity integration workstreams, or providing strategic leadership across enterprise IT, retail systems, payment environments, and operational technology (OT) ecosystems.

The successful candidate will work closely with technology, operations, business, and executive stakeholders to assess cybersecurity risks, develop integration strategies, drive remediation activities, and ensure successful execution from Day 1 readiness through post-integration stabilisation and value realisation.

Key Responsibilities

Cybersecurity Integration & Delivery

  • Support and/or lead cybersecurity integration activities across enterprise IT, retail operations, payment systems, and OT environments.
  • Conduct and oversee:
    • Asset discovery and inventory assessments
    • Security control assessments
    • Gap analyses and risk assessments
    • Cybersecurity maturity reviews
  • Develop and execute cybersecurity integration roadmaps, transition plans, and remediation strategies.
  • Support Day 1 readiness, transition execution, stabilisation, and post-close integration activities.
  • Track cybersecurity risks, dependencies, issues, and remediation actions throughout the programme lifecycle.
  • Ensure alignment with enterprise cybersecurity standards, policies, and regulatory requirements.

Stakeholder & Programme Management

  • Coordinate with IT, OT, infrastructure, retail operations, payment, legal, compliance, and business stakeholders.
  • Facilitate workshops, governance meetings, working groups, and steering committee sessions.
  • Prepare and present:
    • Status reports
    • Risk and issue logs
    • RAID registers
    • Executive presentations
    • Integration trackers and programme documentation
  • Manage escalations, critical risks, and cross-functional dependencies.
  • Support or lead client communications and programme reporting activities.

Strategy & Governance

  • Define cybersecurity integration strategies, governance models, and target operating models.
  • Establish risk priorities and integration sequencing across complex environments.
  • Advise senior stakeholders and programme leadership on cybersecurity risks and integration decisions.
  • Ensure cybersecurity integration activities support operational resilience, business continuity, and value realisation objectives.

Team Leadership

  • Manage consultants, analysts, and vendor teams across cybersecurity integration workstreams.
  • Provide coaching, oversight, quality assurance, and performance guidance to project teams.
  • Drive collaboration across multiple internal and external stakeholders.

Key Requirements

Consultant

  • 2-5 years of experience in cybersecurity, IT risk, technology integration, or consulting.
  • Understanding of cybersecurity principles, controls, and risk management practices.
  • Exposure to enterprise IT infrastructure, networking, endpoint security, or identity management.
  • Strong coordination, analytical, and documentation skills.

Manager

  • 6-10 years of experience managing cybersecurity or technology integration workstreams within large programmes.
  • Experience across cybersecurity governance, risk remediation, stakeholder management, and integration planning.
  • Strong understanding of enterprise IT, payment security, and OT security environments.
  • Experience managing teams and client-facing engagements.

Senior Manager

  • 10+ years of experience leading cybersecurity integration or transformation programmes.
  • Proven experience managing large-scale M&A, divestiture, or integration cybersecurity workstreams.
  • Deep expertise across enterprise cybersecurity, OT/industrial security, payment environments, governance, and resilience.
  • Strong executive advisory and strategic leadership capabilities.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Cybersecurity, Information Technology, Engineering, Computer Science, or related discipline.
  • Relevant certifications such as:
    • CISSP
    • CISM
    • CRISC
    • CCSP
    • ISO 27001 Lead Implementer/Auditor
    • PMP / PRINCE2
    • Security+
  • Experience within fuel retail, energy, utilities, manufacturing, or critical infrastructure sectors is advantageous.
