Job Summary
We are seeking a detail-oriented and technically skilled Drafter to support the engineering team in preparing fire protection system drawings and technical documentation. The ideal candidate will be responsible for producing accurate AutoCAD drawings, shop drawings, and as-built drawings for fire fighting systems in compliance with project requirements, industry standards, and relevant fire safety codes.
This role is ideal for individuals with strong AutoCAD skills and interest in fire protection, M&E engineering, and construction design.
Prepare and develop 2D technical drawings for fire protection systems including:
Sprinkler systems
Fire alarm systems
Hose reel / hydrant systems
Fire pump layouts
Produce shop drawings, coordination drawings, and as-built drawings based on engineer instructions and site conditions
Revise drawings according to engineer, consultant, and client feedback
Ensure all drawings comply with project specifications, local authority requirements, and fire safety standards
Coordinate with engineers, project teams, and site personnel to ensure drawing accuracy
Maintain proper documentation and version control of all drawings
Assist in material take-offs (MTO) and basic quantity estimation when required
Support project team in resolving drawing discrepancies and technical issues
Ensure timely submission of drawings according to project schedule
Diploma / Certificate in Drafting, Engineering, Mechanical, Electrical, or related field
Proficient in AutoCAD (2D essential)
Experience in M&E / Fire Protection / Construction drafting is an advantage
Able to read and interpret technical drawings and engineering sketches
Familiar with fire protection systems is an added advantage (training can be provided)
Detail-oriented with good accuracy and organization skills
Able to work independently and meet tight deadlines
