About the Role
We need a hands-on Data Center Specialist Delivery Engineer to lead the on-ground delivery for either the Electrical, HVAC, or ELV (Extra-Low Voltage) systems. You will be the technical owner for your specialty, ensuring our new data center is built to the highest standards of performance, efficiency, and local compliance.
Key Responsibilities
- Own the technical delivery of your specialist system from design review through construction, commissioning, and final handover.
- Ensure all work meets our global technical specifications, local Malaysian codes, and sustainability targets (e.g., PUE).
- Manage on-site quality, supervise contractors, and solve technical challenges during construction.
- Lead system commissioning and testing to validate performance, reliability, and redundancy.
- Serve as the key technical liaison with local partners, authorities, and utility providers (e.g., TNB).
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical, Mechanical, or a related Engineering field.
- 5+ years of direct experience delivering Electrical, HVAC, or ELV systems for data centers or other critical facilities.
- Must have proven project delivery experience within Malaysia or Southeast Asia, with knowledge of local regulations, suppliers, and construction practices.
- Specialist in one area:
- Electrical: HV/LV distribution, generators, UPS, protection systems.
- HVAC: Cooling architectures (chillers, CRAC), airflow management, BMS controls.
- ELV: BMS, DCIM, security, fire alarm, and structured cabling systems.
- Fluent in English for professional communication; additional Bahasa Malaysia or Chinese is a plus.
- A problem-solver who can work independently and communicate effectively in a multicultural team.
