Responsibilities
- To carry out the commissioning process from the early stages through to final handover.
- Develop and manage commissioning plans, procedures, and schedules.
- Develop designs and calculations that meet or exceed client quality standards and Uptime Institute Tier requirements.
- Coordinate the people and resources needed to keep projects on time and within budget.
- Carry out site inspections, risk assessments, and troubleshooting to resolve technical issues.
- Test systems and equipment to confirm they meet specifications, regulatory standards, and project requirements.
- Work closely with the engineering team to ensure designs meet operational needs.
- Review project documentation (drawings, specifications, manuals) for accuracy before commissioning begins.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering
- At least 3 years of relevant experience in data center commissioning, data center M&E design, or similar mission-critical facilities.
- Familiarity with mechanical and electrical systems such as HVAC, CRAC/CRAH, chilled water, generator sets, fuel systems, electrical distribution, and BMS, with solid experience applying these in data center projects.
- Familiarity with different equipment and system setups for redundancy and maintenance without downtime; experience with fault-tolerant systems is an advantage.
- Practical experience with Uptime Institute Tier standards, including design review, commissioning, and operational readiness.
