Job Description

Responsibilities

JOB DESCRIPTION

  • Perform hardware installations, configurations, diagnostics, troubleshooting, and repairs in the data center environment for servers, network devices, and storage systems.
  • Participate in daily operational support tasks such as racking, stacking, cabling, and component replacements.
  • Execute scheduled maintenance, firmware, and hardware upgrades with precision and adherence to strict change control processes.
  • Support and respond to tickets for on-site incidents, equipment failures, or system alerts, escalating issues as needed.
  • Maintain accurate documentation for inventory, repairs, and infrastructure changes.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional engineering and operations teams to implement and optimize processes.
  • Always ensure adherence to physical security and safety practices.
  • Participate in emergency response and disaster recovery activities, as required.
  • Contribute to process improvement and best practices for data center operations.

Responsibilities

Preferred Qualifications:

  • 3 to 5+ years of experience working in a data center or mission-critical technical environment.
  • Strong understanding of data center infrastructure (server/storage hardware, networking, cabling, and power/cooling systems).
  • Hands-on experience with troubleshooting, diagnostics, and basic repairs of server hardware.
  • Familiarity with ticketing systems, inventory management tools, and change management processes.
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Ability to work in a physically demanding environment (standing, walking, lifting to 20kg).
  • Flexibility to work shifts, including weekends and holidays, as needed.
