About the Role
We are looking for an experienced Data Centre Facilities Manager cum 33kV Chargeman to lead the operations and maintenance of our mission-critical data centre infrastructure. This role is responsible for ensuring the highest level of reliability, availability, and safety of all electrical and mechanical (M&E) systems while leading a high-performing facilities team.
What You'll Do
- Lead the day-to-day operations of critical data centre facilities, ensuring 24/7 uptime and operational excellence.
- Oversee preventive, corrective, and emergency maintenance for all M&E systems.
- Manage critical infrastructure including:
- 33kV High Voltage (HT) & Low Voltage (LV) systems
- Transformers & Generators
- UPS & PDUs
- Chillers, CRAC/CRAH units & HVAC systems
- Fire Protection Systems
- BMS, EMS & environmental monitoring systems
- Develop, review and implement SOPs, MOPs, EOPs and Preventive Maintenance (PPM) plans.
- Lead and develop the facilities team while coordinating outsourced vendors and contractors.
- Ensure all maintenance activities comply with safety standards, regulatory requirements and customer SLAs.
- Manage vendor performance, quotations, contracts and maintenance schedules.
- Prepare maintenance reports, documentation, budgets and annual operating forecasts.
- Support audits, inspections and ensure all regulatory licences remain compliant.
- Be available for on-site support and participate in a 24/7 on-call rotation when required.
What We're Looking For
- Diploma or Degree in Mechanical, Electrical Engineering or a related discipline.
- Valid Suruhanjaya Tenaga (ST) 33kV Chargeman Certificate, registrable under AIMS 33kV installation.
- Minimum 5 years of managerial experience in critical facilities management.
- At least 3 years of experience in a Data Centre environment.
- Strong technical knowledge of data centre electrical and mechanical systems.
- Experience managing teams, contractors and vendors.
- Good analytical, problem-solving and decision-making skills.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word & PowerPoint).
- Highly organised, proactive and able to work independently under pressure.
- Willing to work extended hours and participate in 24/7 on-call support.
