Job Description

About the Role

We are looking for an experienced Data Centre Facilities Manager cum 33kV Chargeman to lead the operations and maintenance of our mission-critical data centre infrastructure. This role is responsible for ensuring the highest level of reliability, availability, and safety of all electrical and mechanical (M&E) systems while leading a high-performing facilities team.

What You'll Do

  • Lead the day-to-day operations of critical data centre facilities, ensuring 24/7 uptime and operational excellence.
  • Oversee preventive, corrective, and emergency maintenance for all M&E systems.
  • Manage critical infrastructure including:
  • 33kV High Voltage (HT) & Low Voltage (LV) systems
  • Transformers & Generators
  • UPS & PDUs
  • Chillers, CRAC/CRAH units & HVAC systems
  • Fire Protection Systems
  • BMS, EMS & environmental monitoring systems
  • Develop, review and implement SOPs, MOPs, EOPs and Preventive Maintenance (PPM) plans.
  • Lead and develop the facilities team while coordinating outsourced vendors and contractors.
  • Ensure all maintenance activities comply with safety standards, regulatory requirements and customer SLAs.
  • Manage vendor performance, quotations, contracts and maintenance schedules.
  • Prepare maintenance reports, documentation, budgets and annual operating forecasts.
  • Support audits, inspections and ensure all regulatory licences remain compliant.
  • Be available for on-site support and participate in a 24/7 on-call rotation when required.

What We're Looking For

  • Diploma or Degree in Mechanical, Electrical Engineering or a related discipline.
  • Valid Suruhanjaya Tenaga (ST) 33kV Chargeman Certificate, registrable under AIMS 33kV installation.
  • Minimum 5 years of managerial experience in critical facilities management.
  • At least 3 years of experience in a Data Centre environment.
  • Strong technical knowledge of data centre electrical and mechanical systems.
  • Experience managing teams, contractors and vendors.
  • Good analytical, problem-solving and decision-making skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word & PowerPoint).
  • Highly organised, proactive and able to work independently under pressure.
  • Willing to work extended hours and participate in 24/7 on-call support.
