Data centre facility Engineer

Description

We are seeking an experienced Data Centre Facility Engineer to join our team in Southeast Asia. The successful candidate will be responsible for the design, maintenance, and improvement of our data center infrastructure, ensuring optimal performance and reliability.

Responsibilities

• Design, maintain and improve data center infrastructure including power, cooling, and network systems.
• Monitor and troubleshoot data center operations to ensure optimal performance and uptime.
• Implement and enforce data center policies and procedures to ensure compliance with industry standards.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support data center projects and initiatives.
• Conduct regular inspections and maintenance of equipment to prevent downtime.
• Assist in capacity planning and resource allocation for data center operations.

Skills and Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field.
• 8-15 years of experience in data center operations or facility management.
• Strong understanding of data center infrastructure systems including HVAC, power distribution, and fire suppression systems.
• Experience with data center monitoring tools and management software.
• Proficiency in networking concepts and technologies.
• Knowledge of industry standards and best practices for data center operations (e.g., Uptime Institute, TIA-942).
• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work under pressure.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
