We are seeking a Data Development Intern to join our Tech Center and contribute to end-to-end data solutions that power cross-border payments for our global merchants and globalization business. This is a hands-on opportunity to master modern data engineering practices alongside experienced engineers in a real-world, large-scale fintech environment.

What You'll Do

  1. Design and build data models, and develop, maintain and optimize ETL pipelines to ensure data accuracy and integrity.
  2. Support the delivery of data warehousing solutions that power business intelligence and reporting.
  3. Write and tune SQL queries and data processing scripts, and help monitor and troubleshoot data pipelines for high availability and performance.
  4. Collaborate with the tech team and stakeholders to understand data needs and explore emerging tools and AI-driven approaches.

What We're Looking For

  1. Currently pursuing a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, AI/Machine Learning, Data Science, Data Analytics, Statistics, Mathematics or a related field, with a solid foundation in programming (e.g. Python, Java or Scala) and SQL.
  2. Understanding of database and data warehouse concepts; familiarity with data modeling or a distributed computing engine (e.g. Hive, Spark, Flink) is a plus.
  3. Able to use mainstream LLM tools for code development, and comfortable explaining the underlying principles and debugging.
  4. Strong analytical skills and good English communication, with a minimum internship commitment of 3 months.
