Data Engineer

Description:

Required Skills

· Data Engineering

o Strong SQL (complex joins, CTEs, window functions)

o Data ingestion from structured and semi-structured sources

o Data transformation logic and aggregation

· ETL / ELT

o Hands-on experience with ETL tools (SSIS, Informatica, ADF, dbt, etc.)

o Scheduling, orchestration, and dependency management

o Handling data validation and reconciliation checks

· Databases

o Oracle and/or MSSQL development

o Understanding of indexes, constraints, and data types

o Writing efficient and maintainable SQL code

· Data Quality & Testing

o Implementing validation rules

o Supporting SIT/UAT data testing

o Root cause analysis of data issues

· Operational Support

o Monitoring and troubleshooting ETL pipelines

o Incident management and root cause analysis

o Handling data load failures and reruns

· Performance & Stability

o Query optimisation and performance tuning

o Managing growing data volumes

o Implementing fixes with minimal disruption

· Enhancement & Maintenance

o Onboarding new data sources

o Minor model changes and enhancements

o Maintaining documentation and runbooks

3. Required Experience

· 3–7 years in data engineering or BI development

· Experience working on DW or analytics projects

· Exposure to enterprise data volumes

· Experience working with BI teams

· Familiarity with SLA-driven support models
