Responsibilities
We are growing our data capabilities to better support business insights and decision-making, and are looking to bring in a Data Engineer to strengthen our team. This role will play a key part in building and enhancing our data infrastructure, ensuring reliable and scalable data solutions that empower analytics and reporting across the organization. You will work closely with both technical and business stakeholders to turn data into meaningful, actionable outcomes while continuously improving our data environment and processes.
• Design, develop, and maintain end-to-end data pipelines to support user and reporting needs
• Integrate and standardize source-system data into structured, reliable data warehouse models.
• Design and deliver dashboards and reports in report tools (for example, Tableau) aligned to business requirements.
• Prepare and maintain high-quality, trusted datasets to ensure reporting accuracy, consistency, and usability.
• Provide production support, monitor scheduled jobs, manage failures and reruns, and ensure timely data availability in line with agreed service levels.
Qualifications
Technical Must-Have:
• Proficient in SQL with strong hands‑on experience
• Solid knowledge of databases such as MS SQL, PostgreSQL or BigQuery
• Basic understanding of data warehouse concepts
• Understanding of database fundamentals such as table design, data types, and indexing
• Practical experience with any ETL tools such as Dataform, dbt, Talend, Informatica, or SSIS
• Experience using AI‑assisted tools to support coding and development tasks
• Exposure to cloud platforms such as Microsoft Azure, AWS, or Google Cloud
• Experience in BI development using any of the following: Power BI, Tableau, or Looker
• Ability to create and maintain clear documentation
• Experience in the financial domain (pension, insurance, banking or credit services)
Technical Good-to-Have:
• Experience working in a Scrum or Agile delivery environment
• Working knowledge of Python for data transformation or automation tasks
• Experience with source code management and DevOps tools such as GitHub, Gitlab, CI/CD pipelines or Terraform

Education
Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field
