Business Domain: Automotive Manufacturing & Production
Working Location: For the first two months, this manager will be required to travel to Tanjung Malim @ Perak office every working day. (travel allowances are provided). Once the project has been deployed, a maximum of two days per week will be required at the Tanjung Malim @ Perak office. For the remaining working days, this manager will be stationed at either Setia Alam's office or The Intermark's KL office (TBC)
About the Role:
We are seeking a highly motivated Data Project Manager / Data Business Analyst to lead enterprise-level data platform initiatives for a leading automotive manufacturing client. This role serves as the key liaison between business stakeholders and the data engineering team, ensuring business requirements are accurately translated into scalable data solutions. The ideal candidate combines strong project management, business analysis, and stakeholder management skills with a solid understanding of data platforms and analytics. While technical knowledge of data technologies is beneficial, this is not a hands-on data engineering or software developmentrole.
Key Responsibilities:
1.Project Management
- Manage the end-to-end lifecycle of enterprise data platform projects, ensuring timely delivery while maintaining project scope, quality, budget, and risk control.
- Develop and maintain project plans, schedules, resource allocation, and project governance.
- Identify project risks, dependencies, and mitigation strategies throughout the project lifecycle.
- Coordinate cross-functional teams to ensure successful project execution and delivery.
2.Business Analysis & Requirements Management
- Partner with business stakeholders to understand operational challenges, business objectives, and data requirements.
- Conduct business process analysis and data analytics requirement workshops.
- Translate business needs into clear functional requirements for the data development team.
- Prepare comprehensive project documentation, including: - Business Requirement Documents (BRD)- Functional Specifications- Data Requirement Reports- KPI & Metrics Catalogs- User Stories and Process Flows
3.Stakeholder Management
- Act as the primary communication bridge between business users, technical teams, and project stakeholders.
- Facilitate requirement discussions, solution reviews, and project status meetings.
- Manage stakeholder expectations and ensure alignment throughout project implementation.
- Drive decision-making across multiple departments to resolve project issues effectively.
4.Data Delivery & Quality Assurance
- Collaborate closely with data engineers, ETL developers, BI developers, and solution architects throughout the development lifecycle.
- Validate data models, dashboards, reports, and analytical outputs against business requirements.
- Coordinate User Acceptance Testing (UAT) and ensure successful production deployment.
- Monitor deliverable quality and ensure project outcomes meet business expectations.
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business Analytics, Engineering, or a related discipline.
- Proficiency in both English and Chinese Mandarin languages, this position involves working in cross-functional teams globally.

Hands-on development is not required; however, candidates should possess a good understanding of:
