We are looking for an Intern to join our Data team in Malaysia. This role offers hands-on experience working with financial datasets, building analytical models, and contributing to data-driven initiatives that support the firm's investment strategies.
What You'll Do
- Assist in collecting, cleaning, and structuring large datasets from internal systems and external sources.
- Support the development of predictive models and machine learning algorithms for investment and operational use cases.
- Conduct exploratory data analysis (EDA) to uncover trends, anomalies, and opportunities.
- Build and maintain dashboards and visualizations to communicate insights to stakeholders.
- Collaborate with data engineers, analysts, and investment professionals to solve real business problems.
- Document methodologies and contribute to knowledge sharing within the team.
Who You Are
- Currently pursuing a degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business, or a related field
- Currently pursuing a degree in Data Science, Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, Finance, or a related field.
- Proficient in Python or R; experience with SQL and data visualization tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau) is a plus.
- Familiarity with data science libraries such as pandas, NumPy, scikit-learn, and matplotlib.
- Understanding of statistical analysis, machine learning, or financial modeling.
- Strong analytical thinking and attention to detail.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
