About The Role
To support the Analytics Centre of Excellence by delivering analytics solution strategies that enable AIA's vision of promoting Healthier, Longer, Better Lives.
To be part of the data science team delivering analytical work that drives business growth, enhances customer experience, improves productivity, and optimises operational efficiency.
To develop and implement best‑practice analytics solutions with measurable outcomes that support business decision‑making.
To create scalable and reusable analytics best practices that can be replicated across other markets.
To work closely with the Insights team and business users to deliver high‑quality analytics in line with business priorities and timelines.
Roles & Responsibilities
Define and execute data science approaches to support both short‑term and long‑term business needs, driving tangible business outcomes.
Partner with the Insights team to ensure timely delivery of the analytics workplan with high‑quality outputs.
Act as a hands‑on analytics technical expert, working with large datasets and applying a broad range of machine learning methodologies and algorithms using relevant data tools.
Develop, test, and deploy models, simulations, and optimisation solutions to address business problems.
Serve as an analytics consultant to business stakeholders, providing insights and recommendations to support decision‑making.
Coach and guide team members in delivering creative analytics solutions for continuous improvement.
Establish and maintain high standards of procedural and technical documentation.
Research, experiment with, and apply advanced and emerging machine learning techniques and tools.
Drive the collection of new data and continuous refinement of existing data sources.
Job Requirements
Bachelor's Degree or Master's Degree in a relevant field of study.
Minimum 5-7 years of relevant data science working experience.
Hands‑on experience in programming‑based analytics, including SQL and Python.
Proven experience in building statistical and machine learning models, such as segmentation, predictive and propensity models (e.g., clustering, neural networks, scenario analysis, hypothesis testing).
Strong understanding of machine learning algorithms, design principles, and model lifecycle management.
Ability to work effectively in a fast‑paced, multidisciplinary environment.
Strong analytical thinking, problem‑solving, and critical reasoning skills.
Demonstrated ability to collaborate across teams to drive positive business outcomes.
Strong business acumen with sound project management and prioritisation skills.
Added advantage: experience with Big Data platforms (especially unstructured data) and deep learning techniques.
High sense of ownership, urgency, and accountability in delivering business impact.
