Microsoft SQL Server (MSSQL) Database Administrator
Location - Kuala Lumpur
Role - Hybrid
Key Responsibilities:
- Install, configure, and maintain SQL Server databases
- Monitor performance and perform tuning/optimization
- Manage backups, restores, and disaster recovery processes
- Ensure database security and access control
- Troubleshoot issues like deadlocks, slow queries, and failures
- Support database development (T-SQL, stored procedures, triggers)
- Handle migrations, upgrades, and patching
- Automate routine tasks using scripts/tools
- Collaborate with teams and maintain documentation
Required Skills:
- Strong expertise in MSSQL & T-SQL scripting
- Experience in performance tuning & database optimization
- Knowledge of backup, recovery, and DR strategies
- Familiarity with tools like SSMS, SQL Profiler
- Understanding of Windows Server & database security
Preferred:
- 45 years of DBA experience
- Exposure to Azure/AWS SQL environments
- Knowledge of PostgreSQL/MongoDB
- Experience with PowerShell/automation
- Relevant Microsoft certifications
