Job Description
- Lead administration and optimization of database platforms across cloud and on‑prem environments
- Design, implement, and support Azure-based architectures and hybrid cloud solutions
- Ensure high availability, performance, security, and disaster recovery of databases
- Oversee database migrations from on‑prem to Azure
- Establish and enforce database governance, standards, and best practices
- Provide technical leadership and guidance to DBA and infrastructure teams
- Troubleshoot complex production issues and lead root-cause analysis
- Collaborate with application, infrastructure, and security stakeholders
The Successful Applicant
A successful DBA Lead (Azure)
- Strong experience as a Database Lead Administrator (cloud & on‑prem)
- Hands-on expertise with Azure services (Azure SQL, Azure VMs, storage, networking)
- Experience designing hybrid and cloud database architectures
- Deep knowledge of database performance tuning, backup, recovery, HA/DR
- Exposure to enterprise-scale environments and mission-critical systems
- Ability to lead, mentor, and make architectural decisions
- Strong stakeholder communication and problem-solving skills
