The Dean will provide strategic, academic, and operational leadership to drive academic excellence, research, programme development, regulatory compliance, student success, and the overall growth of the Faculty.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide strategic and academic leadership aligned with the University's vision and objectives.
- Lead academic programme development, curriculum review, and continuous quality improvement.
- Ensure compliance with MQA, MOHE, MQF, and relevant professional or regulatory bodies.
- Lead programme accreditation, reaccreditation, audits, and quality assurance initiatives.
- Drive research activities, publications, grant acquisition, innovation, and interdisciplinary collaboration.
- Lead, mentor, and develop academic and administrative teams while building a high-performance culture.
- Strengthen partnerships with industry, healthcare institutions, professional bodies, government agencies, and international universities.
- Enhance student experience, academic performance, graduate employability, and professional development.
- Support student enrolment, programme expansion, and Faculty growth strategies.
- Manage Faculty resources, budgets, operational performance, and strategic initiatives.
Requirements
- PhD in a relevant discipline is mandatory.
- Minimum 10 years of academic experience within higher education.
- At least 5 years of senior academic leadership experience, such as Dean, Deputy Dean, Head of School, Head of Department, or equivalent.
- Strong experience in academic governance, curriculum development, programme management, and quality assurance.
- Demonstrated experience with MQA accreditation and local higher education regulatory requirements.
- Proven track record in teaching, research, publications, academic administration, and stakeholder engagement.
- Strong strategic leadership, people management, communication, and decision-making skills.
