To support our extraordinary teams who build great products and contribute to our growth, we're looking to add a Debug Engineer located in Prai, Penang.
What a typical day looks like:
- Understands conditions under which tests are to be conducted and sequences and phases of test operations.
- Prepares technical summary reports for use by electronic or software engineering, and management personnel.
- Interfaces and confers with engineering and technical personnel to resolve testing problems such as product or system malfunctions, incomplete test data, data interpretation or coding issues.
- Uses computer software and hardware to conduct tests on electronic products and systems or software for examination purpose.
- Allocates defect causes to the various sources e.g. process, material, and prepares reports for follow other involved like quality, purchasing, SQA.
- Interferes with floor support, test technicians and test operators on test hardware and/or software, as well as proper problem-solving techniques.
- Resolves test yield problems by performing investigation of root causes, developing and coordinating corrective action measures and monitoring improvements.
- Evaluate and configure digital circuits using Field programable Gate Array (FPGA) and Ball Grid Array (BGA).
- Resolves failures from Point of origin / point of detection.
- Evaluates and interprets test data and product performance with proper evidence of design related Failure Analysis Report.
The experience we're looking to add to our team:
- Requires a Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience.
- Typically requires a minimum of 2–5 years of experience in PCBA debug, validation, or failure analysis.
- Required to have a mix of technical skills, hands-on experience, and soft skills to effectively diagnose and resolve PCBA issues.
- Proficient with test and measurement equipment, such as Multimeter, Oscilloscope, Logic analyzer, Power analyzer.
- Prior experience in an Electronics background is an added advantage.
