Demand Planner

Role Summary:

The Demand Planner forecasts product demand, maintains optimal inventory, aligns supply chain activities, analyzes sales data, collaborates with teams, develops forecasts, mitigates risks, and improves demand planning to support business goals.

Responsibilities:

• Demand Forecasting: Analyze sales data to generate accurate demand forecasts, align sales targets with merchandising teams, and create rolling 18-month forecasts based on specific parameters.
• Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with sales & operations, marketing, and supply planners to gather input for demand planning and ensure alignment of sales targets.
• Inventory Management: Synchronize demand forecasts with inventory targets to consistently achieve optimal inventory levels.
• Performance Monitoring: Monitor and report on key performance indicators (KPIs) related to demand planning
• Risk Mitigation and Contingency Planning: Identify and mitigate risks related to supply chain disruptions and develop contingency plans.
• Reporting: Prepare and maintain relevant reports on forecast accuracy, inventory levels, and urgent order rates.
• Forecast Alignment and Insights: Present forecast to management, provide strategic insights on unconstraint demand, and support data-driven decision-making.
• Continuous Improvement: Identify trends, track ad hoc promotions, consolidate data to determine net demand, and make allocation decisions for promotions.
