Job Description

The Deputy Chief Technology Officer (DCTO) will play a pivotal role in steering the technology division towards operational excellence and innovation. This leadership position involves overseeing the entirety of the build and run teams, ensuring they align with the organization's technology strategy and goals.

  • Lead the strategic planning and execution of technology initiatives to drive business growth and efficiency.
  • Oversee the development and implementation of the technology roadmap in collaboration with the Chief Technology Officer.
  • Monitor technology trends and advancements to ensure the organization remains competitive and innovative.
  • Manage technology budgets and ensure resources are allocated effectively to support organizational priorities.
  • Foster a culture of collaboration, innovation, and continuous improvement within the technology division

Main Duties & Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with the CTO to develop and refine the technology strategy and vision for the organization.
  • Direct the build and run teams, overseeing project management, software development, system operations, and support services.
  • Ensure the alignment of IT infrastructure and software development with organizational goals, promoting scalability and sustainability.
  • Champion the adoption of agile methodologies and DevOps practices across technology teams.
  • Lead the evaluation, selection, and implementation of new technologies and platforms to drive innovation.
  • Foster strong partnerships with internal stakeholders and external vendors to support technology needs.
  • Oversee cybersecurity efforts, ensuring the integrity, confidentiality, and availability of information assets.
  • Lead talent development initiatives, including hiring, mentoring, and professional growth opportunities for technology staff.
  • Manage technology budgets, forecasting, and financial planning to ensure ROI on technology investments.
  • Spearhead technology governance, risk management, and compliance activities.
  • Facilitate a culture of open communication, encouraging feedback and collaborative problem-solving within and beyond the technology division.

Requirement

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology,
  • Business Administration or a related field.
  • Proven experience in a senior technology leadership role in a medium to large organization.
  • Demonstrated experience in managing technology teams and leading large-scale IT projects.
  • Strong background in software development, IT infrastructure management, information security and latest technologies.
  • Experience in budgeting, financial management, and strategic planning within a technology context., AI, and data analytics is highly desirable.
