Job Description

About the Role

You will be assisting the General Manager and responsible for the high volume and fully automated manufacturing operations in the plant including profitability, production, human resource, finance and overall management of the day-to-day operations.

Responsibilities

  • Assist in planning and deliver the annual budget for the business unit.
  • Conduct and periodic review of plant budget to ensure no surprises and/or negative impact.
  • Be in tune with market and customer needs, and propose/move with changing requirements if needed.
  • Focus on business profitability and ensures plant stays relevant with regards to its product offering and competitive advantage.
  • Ensure effective day-to-day operations of the plant.
  • Working together with direct functional departments of sales, finance, HR, production, Engineering, QA, purchasing, warehousing & Logistics to ensure smooth and effective operations of the plant.
  • Optimise plant resources to ensure plant KPIs are met.
  • Plan and periodic review the key KPIs target with the functional department.
  • Ensures plant cost, quality and delivery goals are met and continuously look for ways to improve it.
  • Responsible to ensure plant are in good condition always compliance with Crown Standard, adheres to its policy and procedure with regards to Quality, Plant maintenance, EHS, Finance.
  • Focus and ensure plant equipment maintenance are operating at the highest standard and efficiencies.
  • Ensures excellent housekeeping and safety standards are upheld at all times.
  • Achieve the necessary certifications standards for the plant.
  • Enable a positive work environment with people centred management.
  • Continuously trains, coach, develop and find ways to always strengthen the skills level of the plant and creates backup plan for each role.
  • Provide business continuity plan for customers with alternative Cans supply with plants in the Division.

Required Skills

  • Possess strong leadership and negotiation skills, and able to motivate and develop people.
  • Demonstrated strong business acumen with proven track records.
  • Possess excellent communication, interpersonal skills and collaborator.
  • Self-motivated, results oriented and performance driven.
  • Experience in a high-volume manufacturing environment.
  • Knowledge of lean manufacturing principles.
