Key Responsibilities:
Procurement Strategy & Leadership
- Support the Head, BOM in implementing procurement strategies for Bill of Materials (BOM) components.
- Lead sourcing initiatives to achieve cost competitiveness and supply reliability.
- Drive supplier selection, sourcing activities, and contract negotiations.
Supplier & Vendor Management
- Manage strategic supplier relationships to ensure performance in cost, quality, and delivery.
- Monitor supplier capability and performance through structured evaluation and improvement initiatives.
- Support supplier development and localization initiatives where applicable.
Program Support
- Ensure sourcing strategies are aligned with program timelines and organizational objectives.
- Support procurement planning and execution to ensure the timely availability of BOM components.
Cost Management
- Lead cost analysis, benchmarking, and cost optimization initiatives for BOM components.
- Drive value-improvement and cost-reduction initiatives with suppliers.
Procurement Governance
- Ensure compliance with procurement policies, procedures, and governance requirements.
- Support procurement reporting, sourcing updates, and supplier performance monitoring.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in engineering, Supply Chain Management, Procurement, or related technical discipline.
- Minimum 10–15 years of experience in automotive procurement, sourcing, or supplier management.
- Strong experience in BOM procurement, supplier negotiations, cost management, and sourcing strategies within the automotive industry.
- Experience working with automotive OEMs or Tier-1 suppliers is highly preferred.
- Experience in managing automotive component categories (e.g. chassis, interior, exterior, electronics, powertrain) will be an added advantage.
- Familiarity with automotive product development cycles, cost breakdown analysis, and localization initiatives.
- Strong leadership, analytical, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills.
