General Job Responsibilities
- Oversee logistics and international trade operations, including overseas samples and mass production shipments under EXW, CIF, DAP, DDP and other Incoterms.
- Manage import/export and customs-related matters, ensuring shipments comply with customs requirements, trade regulations and company procedures.
- Develop, standardize and optimize logistics and customs processes to improve operational efficiency, accuracy and service quality.
- Monitor logistics costs and prepare monthly expense budgets and analysis, identifying cost drivers and improvement opportunities.
- Lead logistics cost reduction initiatives, including freight optimization, supplier negotiation and continuous improvement projects.
- Manage logistics suppliers and service providers, including ocean freight, freight forwarders and other logistics partners; oversee quotation comparison, performance evaluation and service quality.
- Review and reconcile logistics-related accounts, ensuring supplier invoices, freight charges and payment requests are accurate and processed on time.
- Coordinate closely with internal departments such as Procurement, Planning, Warehouse, Finance and Production to ensure smooth material movement and delivery.
- Establish and monitor logistics KPIs, identify operational issues and drive corrective and preventive actions.
- Lead and develop the logistics team, allocate responsibilities, monitor performance and provide guidance to ensure effective execution of logistics operations.
Job Requirements
- Bachelor's degree or above in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, International Trade, Business Administration or related fields.
- 8+ years of relevant experience in logistics, supply chain, import/export or international trade, with experience in a supervisory/managerial capacity.
- Strong knowledge of international logistics, Incoterms (EXW, CIF, DAP, DDP), import/export and customs processes.
- Experience in manufacturing or a fast-paced industrial environment is highly preferred.
- Strong experience in logistics cost analysis, budgeting and cost reduction initiatives.
- Good knowledge of freight forwarding, ocean freight and logistics supplier management.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving and negotiation skills.
- Good coordination and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively across multiple departments.
- Mandarin and English proficiency is preferred to support communication with overseas suppliers and stakeholders.
- Proficient in MS Office and SAP/ERP systems; experience with logistics-related systems is an advantage.
- Strong leadership, ownership and ability to work independently in a fast-paced and rapidly growing environment.
