Responsible to involve in end-to-end product development and implementation process. ensuring compliance with regulations and participate in ad-hoc projects as assigned.
Job Description
1) Product Development & Implementation
- Work with relevant parties in the product development process and ensure compliance with internal policies and procedures and external requirements.
- Prepare and update the Product Manual in accordance with the product design and specifications.
- Product administration in Core Systems (namely TIS & TIG) - To conduct on system setup, preparation of test cases, Business Requirement and scripts, and carry out UAT to ensure accuracy of developed system functionalities.
- Involve in the UAT for product roll-out frontend system.
- To track and monitor project timeline and ensure deliveries of all PIC members are within the stipulated timeline.
- Preparing the fulfilment materials for BNM filing.
- Prepare post-launch review and the summary report.
- Scope out the potential changes/enhancements needed to administer the product, involving the respective departments in identify potential gaps and solutions.
2) Retakaful and/or Co-takaful Administration & Placement
- Preparing treaty accounting statistics and Treaty Statement of Accounts (SOA) on quarterly & yearly basis.
- Attending and managing all matters concerning to treaty Accounting and claims that have been referred by Retakaful Operator.
- Providing input during Retakaful placement process, distribution of draft treaty to departments involved for their review and feedbacks as well as to reconcile the content of the treaty received from the RTO.
3) Actuarial Support on System Issues
- Administration support to Operations on miscellaneous calculations for any reported production issue.
- Support for business administration issues (e.g. customer complaint cases/ Replacement of Certificates (ROC))
- Provide the necessary input required by the respective department such as Operations and IT.
- Discuss and provide suggestions/basis/methodology to resolve the issues.
- Resolve system-related issues on timely basis, accurately.
4) Other Supporting Roles
- Liaise with service provider or retakaful on any product ideas/related issues or marketing initiatives.
- Support on projects relating to changes due to new regulation/guideline, perform gap analysis and identify solutions to ensure compliance.
- To maintain proper documentation and maintenance.
- Any ad-hoc initiative / project in other areas within Actuarial or company (and its subsidiaries) projects as assigned from time to time, including provide guidance to the junior colleague.
Qualifications / Requirements
- Basic degree in any discipline preferably in actuarial science, life office management or related insurance qualifications.
- Minimum 3 years working experience in Family Insurance.
