JOB SUMMARY
- Strategizing, planning, and monitoring sustainability programs and initiatives to ensure they are completed within the established timeline and budget. The position focuses on ensuring the successful implementation of new initiatives aimed at improving cost-effectiveness and operational efficiency. Key responsibilities include overseeing the execution of sustainability projects, tracking progress, and ensuring alignment with overall organizational sustainability goals while continuously seeking opportunities to enhance cost savings and process efficiency.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
- Strategies, Plan and Monitors EPF’s Sustainability Initiatives regarding Scope 1 and 2 GHG Emissions.
- Strategies, building networking with authorities and major companies related to Sustainability.
- Benchmarking and continuously reviewing JPH Sustainability program with other companies.
- Become a Subject Matter Expert to advise Departments related to the Sustainability programs and initiatives.
- Planning and implementing activities to obtain Green Energy Tariff (GET) and PPA (Purchase Power Agreement).
- Planning and implementing education, training, and awareness about waste management including creating a sustainability training module.
- Planning and implementing an Environmental Management System.
- Plan, implement and monitor waste reduction including programs for zero plastics, food and water wastage.
- Plan and implement Engagement with waste management Companies and related parties.
- Planning and implementing an electric Fleet.
- Planning and implementing the management of carbon credits and offsetting carbon consumption and any new sustainability initiatives
- Suggesting new Initiatives for departments with regards to sustainability.
- Continuously reviewing and suggesting new Sustainable retrofit of branches.
- Provide support to the Section Head in the development and implementation of the department’s strategies or strategic initiatives.
- Assist in the execution and monitoring of any action plans for the department’s strategies or strategic initiatives.
- Digitalisation of key department processes.
- Continuously improving department dashboard inputs, analysis and monitoring.
JOB QUALIFICATIONS / REQUIREMENTS
- Malaysian citizen.
- Pass the Malay Language including oral test at Sijil Pelajaran Malaysia (SPM) level.
- Possess a Bachelor's Degree in Environmental Science or any related course from any local universities or overseas higher learning institutions recognized by the Malaysian Qualifications Agency (MQA).
- Possess at least 6 years of experience in sustainability initiatives implementation and related fields
