About the School

The school delivers Lower Secondary (Years 79), Upper Secondary (Years 1011 IGCSE) and Pre-University (Years 1213) programmes, with plans to offer International Baccalaureate (IBDP) and Cambridge International A-Levels.
Key Responsibilities
Teaching & Learning
- Deliver high-quality academic content aligned with student-centred and inquiry-based pedagogy.
- Facilitate engaging lessons, discussions, and activities that reflect the school's humanistic values.
- Collaborate with academic teams to review, enhance, and align curricula.
- Prepare internal examination papers and ensure timely submission for review and printing.
- Maintain consistency and high standards in teaching methodology across all classes.
Student Development & Wellbeing
- Foster a safe, supportive, and disciplined classroom environment.
- Build meaningful relationships with students, providing both academic and emotional support.
- Support international and boarding students where required.
- Manage classroom emergencies and prioritise student safety at all times.
- Engage with all students as part of a shared educational community, beyond assigned classes.
Professional Collaboration & School Engagement
- Work closely with Heads of Department and colleagues to support student progress.
- Communicate effectively within teaching teams to ensure instructional consistency.
- Uphold and model the school's Founding Principles, Motto, Vision, and Mission.
- Participate in school events such as Open Days, fairs, and celebrations.
- Seek and apply regular feedback from academic leaders and mentors.

Design & Technology Lab & Safety Management
- Maintain D&T equipment, machinery, and computers in safe working condition.
- Enforce strict safety protocols and ensure full compliance with lab rules.
- Manage inventory of tools, materials, and consumables (e.g. wood, acrylic, 3D printer filament).
- Prepare and set up materials, tools, and machines for lessons and projects.
Technical & Instructional Support
- Provide hands-on technical support during lab sessions.
- Guide students in the safe use of machinery and software (e.g. CAD, laser cutters, 3D printers).
- Conduct basic troubleshooting and routine maintenance.
- Coordinate specialist repairs when required.
Administrative Responsibilities
- Maintain accurate records of equipment servicing, safety checks, and material usage.
- Assist in budget planning for lab consumables and minor equipment.
- Ensure the lab remains clean, organised, and inspiring.
Requirements & Skills
- Bachelor's Degree in Education or a related field (Master's Degree preferred).
- Familiarity and/or certification in Cambridge Curriculum, IGCSE, A-Level, MYP, or IBDP.
