Role Description The Design Drafter will support the design-and-build process by producing accurate technical and architectural drawings for renovation projects. Day-to-day responsibilities include developing detailed plans, elevations, and sections; updating drawings based on design revisions; and ensuring documentation complies with project specifications and industry standards. The role involves collaborating with designers, project managers, and contractors to translate design concepts into clear construction documents and to resolve drafting-related queries. This is a contract role and is fully remote, with work coordinated via digital collaboration tools and regular online meetings.
Qualifications
- Strong skills in Technical Drawing and Drawing for design and construction documentation.
- Ability to create and interpret Engineering Drawings for structural and buildability considerations.
- Proficiency in Architectural Drawings for interior layouts, elevations, and space planning.
- Hands-on experience with Computer-Aided Design (CAD) software for 2D and 3D drafting.
- Attention to detail, accuracy in measurements, and adherence to industry standards and codes.
- Experience in renovation, interior design, or construction environments is preferred.
- Effective communication skills and ability to collaborate remotely with multidisciplinary teams.
- Relevant diploma or degree in architecture, interior design, engineering, or a related field is advantageous.
